From a young age, April Cook has been a student of purpose, always seeking the answer to the all encompassing question -“why?”. Fortunately, April discovered her passion and gift for styling hair at a young age. As she grew older, she realized her purpose was related to her gift, but was much bigger than her expertise. Styling hair has allowed April to connect with people in a way that sparks joy in her own life. Through conversation and understanding, April has helped clients gain clarity on various topics while receiving hair services. Knowing that her clients leave feeling better than they came (and in more ways than one!), April is able to sit comfortably in her purpose. Understanding why she exists, April has been able to navigate the ebbs and flows of life with clarity and intention. Her purpose gives her a sense of direction.

 

Knowing that millennials can struggle to find purpose in their lives, April feels led and called to assist others to learn their 'why'. As such, April founded the platform "Purpose OVA Everything" (POE) in 2020 to fulfill that calling.The laid-back-and- lived-in POE apparel line provides customers with an opportunity to explore their purpose, question their journey and find a sense of direction that adds incremental meaning to their lives. Her goal for the brand is to spark conversations that answer questions such as “Why do I exist? What am I good at? What do I love to do? What is my passion? What is my thing? What is my why”? With this line and other future collections, POE promises to ignite the potential in all who seek clarity..
